だいたい古典的なブルース
最初の曲は、フィールド録音の鼓笛隊とでも言ったらいいのか、原初的な雰囲気があって面白いです。2曲目はワークソングのような感じですが、40年程前に、刑務所録音のレコードで聴いたことがあるような・・・ 「03. Mamie Smith - Crazy Blues 」は、最初の古典的なブルース録音と言われているもので、次はブルースの名付け親と言われるハンディの有名な「セントルイス･ブルース」で、あとは古典、カントリー、ジャズ、シティが入り乱れて楽しいです。

アーバン系からロックの時代
50年代～60年代のＲ＆Ｂ、ソウル、ロックが混在する、私などがリアルタイムで聴いてきた時代で、特に思い入れがあった時代ですが、最近ではどの時代も関係なく良いものは良いと思います。 ロックは、ジミ･ヘンドリックスは黒人ですが、多くは白人の音楽でした。しかし、ブルースのワイルドなところと一番相性が良いので、今でもロック･サウンドはブルースにも反映しています。 ちなみに、「09. Bob Dylan」「12. John Mayall's Bluesbreakers With Eric Clapton」「13. Paul Butterfield Blues Band」「18. The Jeff Beck Group」「20. Fleetwood Mac」「21. Janis Joplin」は、白人のシンガー、グループです。
